Of course. We spent time designing the best items for Adekuver instead of preparing ordinary gift items. They had to be used only for the designated event, convey gratitude, and
lead to promotional effect by having exposure on social media. Simply put, we had to consider design elements and also marketing activities as well.
2What item did you design?
I will tell you what it was before telling you details. We designed a picnic blanket.
3A picnic blanket? That does not sound like an ordinary gift item. Can you explain why you chose picnic blanket?
We did research to find out what women in the 20s and the 30s like to do in spring, and learned that they like to have a picnic at the Han River. There is even a newly coined word. “campnic,” which is a combination of camping and picnic.
Minimal camping and picnic became widely popular pastime activities among young women.
A picnic blanket reflects this trend, and can be a useful item as well.
In addition, this item is for spring and summer and is a perfect gift.
Another advantage is that you can unfold a picnic blanket, and a large picnic blanket can increase Adekuver exposure. As you know, no one goes to a picnic and not take a picture. The Adekuver logo can appear more on social media, which is great for marketing.
4Can you also tell us about materials and structure?
This picnic blanket is made of durable canvas. We printed images on blanket and applied waterproof coating on both surfaces so people can use it for a long time.
To increase durability, we covered its edges with dyed fabric. Waterproof canvas was chosen to make a pouch. We also had to think about how to fold blanket to increase efficiency,
make it look more complete, and make it easier to carry around. It might sound simple, but there were numerous factors to consider in the process.
5The colors seem very unique.
We picked these colors from Adekuver items in Spring/Summer 2019. Among a number of options, we chose green and bright violet. Moreover, these colors are in line with nature.
Don’t you just feel like going to the Han River and lie down on this picnic blanket to have quality chillax time? (laughter)
The signature waffle façade of the Adekuver store became our inspiration to create images on the blanket. The images on picnic blanket can remind people of Adekuver and its store.
6HOHOHO designed interesting items including lupe in the invitation and this picnic blanket. When can we expect another item for next season?
We have nothing confirmed yet. However, we heard that both Adekuver and customers enjoyed the three gift items from HOHOHO.
We have not decided when to develop next item, but we are considering many options including wireless charger, paperweight,
shape cut ruler, scented plaster, and shoehorn keychain. You know we can design anything from a tiny hair clip to a spaceship (laughter).
